New Hot-Melt Adhesives for Improved Adhesion

At Techtextil, Degussa GmbH, Düsseldorf, Germany, will present new grades in its range of copolyamide hotmelt adhesives, VESTAMELT®.

VESTAMELT® Z 2117 is a low-melting copolyamide that features improved adhesion to plastics like PVC, ABS and PC. It is plasticizer-resistant and particularly suitable for temperature-sensitive applications.

New cross-linkable and high-crystalline grades complete the product portfolio. The materials are resistant to steam, will not shrink or fade in hot-water laundry cycles or upon exposure to enzyme detergents.

The High Performance Polymers Business Unit of the Degussa GmbH manufactures a line of customized copolyamide hotmelt adhesives. They are supplied as powders and granules under the trade name VESTAMELT®. Used in a variety of industries, VESTAMELT® provides all applications with a good balance of high-quality service properties, easy and reliable processing, and high cost-effectiveness.
