The specialty plastics of High Performance Polymers find application wherever there are major problems to solve, such as high and very low temperatures to tolerate, high mechanical stresses to endure or weather and aggressive media to withstand. The trademarks

have now been well established on the market for many years.

With VESTAKEEP®, a polyether ether ketone (PEEK), we have expanded our product range in the attractive field of high-temperature polymers.

The areas of application of our high-performance plastics are many and varied:


  • VESTAMID® L (PA 12), for example, has long proved its worth in fuel line systems, whether in Siberia or the desert. All the other compounds are also used in the automotive industry
  • DYFLOR® is supplied only for the production of barrier layers in multilayer tubes.
  • Polyamide 612 is in demand for filaments, such as those in toothbrushes.
  • Polyamide 12 elastomers are used in the sports goods sector for elegantly designed equipment and to give soccer players the right "kick."
  • TROGAMID® compounds offer superior qualities, particularly in their resistance to stress cracking and chemicals: this explains why they are valued by machinery and engineering designers as well as those working in medical technology and optics.
  • Electrical engineers have implicit confidence in the excellent electrical properties and high dimensional stability of VESTODUR®.
  • VESTORAN® compounds, thermostable and resistant to hot water, are used mainly in plastic-rubber composites (K&K), an extremely economical process patented by Evonik, for production of thermoplast-elastomer composites. Polyamide 612 and TROGAMID® compounds are also suitable for this process.
  • The high heat resistant VESTAKEEP® compounds can be used in various applications, which have to fulfill extreme mechanical, thermal and chemical requirements, for example in the electrical, electronic, and communications engineering, in the automotive and aerospace industry, in railed vehicles, machines and devices, the medical technology and the food industry.
