Sunglass and sports glass lines are strongly subject to fashion trends. Models with heavy frames are not currently in demand, the trend being thin-rimmed or rimless eyeglasses.

• In contrast to traditional materials for plastic glasses (CR39 or polycarbonate), the screw connections required for this model, if made from TROGAMID® CX, do not cause stress cracking.
• The lenses are not susceptible to environmental stress cracking caused by substances migrating from the frames or by aggressive lens cleaning fluids.

• The very high impact resistance of the material, even at low temperatures, guarantees that the eyeglasses will be resistant to breakage, even for winter sports purposes.
• TROGAMID® CX compounds for lenses satisfy UV400 cut-off requirements (for protection from UV light of wavelength up to 400 nanometers).
• TROGAMID® CX has a transparency of more than 90%, a refractive index of 1.516, and an Abbe number of 45.
