Deflection Yokes

Coreless deflection yokes for the electronics industry, for example, for PC monitors, TV sets, audio players, video cameras, headphones or micro-motors, benefit from the special properties of our VESTAMELT® copolyamide hotmelt adhesives. These adhesives are added as thermoplastic adhesives to self-bonding varnishes, with which insulated wires are coated and glued together by induction heat.

• When VESTAMELT® is manufactured, it is possible to select combinations of the monomers in order to affect the solubility, softening point, water absorption, thermal expansion, and melting viscosity as desired.
• It is also possible to post-modify VESTAMELT® slightly to initiate a cross-linking reaction when the coated wire is baked, thus producing a higher resoftening temperature and resulting in very low water absorption.

Deflection yokes produced using VESTAMELT® self-bonding varnishes ensure the following:

• Coating will quickly become tack-free
• High adhesion at low processing temperatures
• High dimensional stability up to 120°C
• High resistance to the effects of humidity
• Electrical safety (short-circuit test)
