High dimensional stability and rigidity are the main reasons for using VESTODUR® compounds in vehicle interiors. VESTOSINT® is used as a fine powder or a coating powder on account of its abrasion and wear resistance. In vehicle interiors, the hotmelt adhesive VESTAMELT® imparts high thermostability to bonded joints.


  • VESTAMELT® hotmelt adhesives with different melt viscosities bond head liners, in-mold laminated interior trim, door paneling, rear window shelves and upholstery and fasten seat heaters.
  • VESTOSINT® fine powders are used to reduce the coefficient of friction of rubber surfaces. They are used either as an additive in lubricating lacquers or are scattered on the rubber surface in lieu of flocking, for example, at the windows.
  • High-stress components such as seat belt holders acquire their major safety feature as a direct result of a VESTOSINT® coating. A coating on the guide pulleys for the seat belts improves performance.
  • In public transportation vehicles, the bottom parts of passenger seats, boarding aids, door mounts and grab bars acquire longer service lives thanks to their VESTOSINT® coating.
  • Pushbuttons in vehicle interiors with transparent, backlit components are best produced from VESTODUR® compounds as they bond well to overmolded transparent parts, are dimensionally stable even when subject to heat, and last for a long time, thanks to their resistance to abrasion and stress cracking.
  • VESTODUR® is the compound of choice for defroster nozzles and ventilation elements, primarily on account its high thermostability and low water absorption. VESTODUR® products with good flowability are excellently suited for thin-walled parts with long flowpaths. For parts such as window lifter rails and footrests in tour buses, VESTODUR® meets the stringent rigidity and torsional strength requirements.
