In signal processing, VESTODUR®, VESTORAN® and TROGAMID® are used in various injection-molded parts; VESTAMID® is used in cable sheathing.

• Fiber-optic signal processing uses polymer optical fibers, abbreviated POF, that are protected by a double jacket system of modified VESTAMID® compounds. It affords mechanical protection, easy handling and efficient flame protection.
• Semi-rigid battery cables of VESTAMID® L have the required flexibility and resilience for the required defined shape, and are highly resistant to battery acid and oils.

• Housings for electronic controls, alarm systems, ignition coil housings, plug-in connectors, and fuse holders are produced from various VESTODUR® compounds. All applications essentially require exact dimensional stability, stable electrical properties and high strength; each variety of PBT, fine-tuned to the purpose for which it is intended, also satisfies these requirements and thus provides a high degree of safety.
• High dimensional stability, heat resistance and dielectric strength are the required properties of a material for coil bodies in ignition coil systems. Numerous designs made of VESTORAN® have performed well in systems of leading suppliers. Particularly compact pencil coils close to engine blocks are a calling card for VESTORAN 1900-GF20.
• Thanks to the plastic-rubber composite, it is possible to construct a plastic spark plug tube of TROGAMID® BX with fluorinated rubber seals on both sides. The blend provides very high rigidity in combination with high heat deflection temperature, low warpage and good surface quality.
